The Worcester Historical Museum is commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Titanic sinking with stories of Worcester Residents who were passengers on the ill-fated vessel. The exhibit runs thru June 26th and is included with a museum admission.

May 18 – The Christian performing group Small Names will be at the Mill Church Cafe located at 45 River Street in Millbury at 7:00pm. Small names is based in Springfield. May 18Woodlawn Baptist Church will present the Mark Trammell Quartet in concert at 7:00pm. Mark has sung with the Gaithers and was a member of some of the greatest southern gospel music groups before forming the Mark Trammell Quartet. May 18-20 – The Blackstone Valley Tourism Council (BVTC) and the Rhode Island Cherry Blossom Festival Committee welcome everyone to participate in the 2012 Rhode Island Cherry Blossom Festival, a signature annual cultural event held in Pawtucket, Central Falls and Woonsocket. Highlights include dedication of new park overlooking Blackstone River to honor early American chocolate manufacturing and cherry tree plantings honoring 100th anniversary of Washington DC cherry trees from Japan. Just added this year, will be another special event in Woonsocket happening Saturday, May 19, with the formal unveiling of a new statue of the famed Japanese dog Hachiko, which will be a permanent fixture in from of the city’s historic train depot, located at Depot Square. May 19Blessings Farm will be holding their Spring Open House from 9:00am to 3:00pm at 50 H Foote Rd. in Charlton. There will be pony rides, a tag and bake sale, local vendors, food, raffles & a Drill Team demonstration. This event will be held rain or shine as it is all indoors. Free parking & admission. May 19 - The Rock My Faith College Tour will take place at 7:00pm at UMASS Dartmouth. The concert will feature Joe Cantone, Jon Niven, Paris Fisher plus 10 of the top New England acts. Tickets are $5 and $10 and can be purchased at RockMyFaith.com.

May 20 - SHUANN CHAI & YUAN SHENG perform works by Schumann & Brahams as the Frederick Historic Piano Collection Concert Series continues. The featured piano will be the Streicher of 1868 Vienna. The Set Free Biblical Depdendancy/Discipleship Treatment Ministry meets every Thursday from 7:00-8:30pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 413 Main Street in Easthampton. The Set Free! program is a voluntary Bible-based treatment curriculum presented as a Christian alternative to the numerous secular treatment options available. SaturdaysAmateur Astronomy Meetings from 7:30pm to 10:00pm at the Anna Maria College: Science Building in Paxton, MA. Meetings take place on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. On the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month members meet for telescope building. All meetings take place regardless of weather, have telescopes for observing if weather permits, and are open to the public and free to attend. New members of all ages are welcome!
